Upon the closure of H.C. Richmond & Son, a long established steelwork company, H.H. Adkins (Steelwork Division) was formed in 1982.
The management, office staff, welders and steel erectors from Richmonds were re-employed in facilities set up within H.H. Adkins three acre site in Wyberton West Road.
The new company carried on the high class work, previously carried out at Richmond’s, with the expertise of the transferred highly skilled and competent staff.
